How to Network Settings for ad-hoc file sharing

Using the ad-hoc network we can perform activities such as File Sharing and Internet Connection Sharing. Here I will show you how to do both of these by using the Microsoft Windows Seven. Build ad-hoc networks through Microsoft Windows Seven easier than meenggunakan Microsoft Windows XP., Particularly on Internet Connection Sharing. The following are steps in the configuration of ad-hoc networks.

1. Go to Control Panel> Network and Internet> Network and Sharing Center

2. Select Set up a new connection or network

3. Then select set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network
4. Will come the demand to enter Network name (SSID), Security type, and the Security Key.

5. With this it has created a new network with a network name specified. To be able to do Internet Connection Sharing then simply select the option "Turn on Intenet Connection Sharing" on condition already own a previous internet connection using Lan cable, dial-up or 3G modem, etc..

6. By default if step 5 have been done then the Internet Connection Sharing has to do, but for more specific settings for each Internet connection that we use is a configuration in: Control Panel> Network and Intenet> Network and Sharing Center and then select the type of connection to suppose share, go to Properties, select the Sharing tab, then tick "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Intenet Connection".

7. Today computers have become as if an access point is waiting for the clients. But the wireless adapter does not have an IP address, the IP address will appear if there is already a client computer automatically so we will be the gateway for the client-clientnya.

8. To perform a file-sharing, right click on the folder you want to share we then select Properties, select sharing options> advanced sharing> check box "share this folder". By default permissions that are set to allow read for everyone, but we can configure your own the share permissions.

9. Thus the process of exchanging files over a wireless network to do.
