INDONESIAN: Majas COMPARISON
Comparison Majas
Majas or style that compares two things by nature equal.
Comparing can be done in three ways:
I. Indirect / Associations
II. Direct / Metaphor
III. personification
IV. allegory
Indirect way the two are compared using comparative adverbs: for example, like, like, like, like, like.
Indirect way is called a figure of speech or association parable
example:
1. His face was pale like a corpse.
2. His heart is tender
like silk.
3. The boy was confused as
deer entered the village.
4. Establishment of the child is like water
on the leaves of taro.
Ð direct way than the two it does not use words like the above comparisons. Direct comparison is called a metaphor.
example:
1. Do not go near that blackguard.
2. The flames had engulfed a luxury building.
3. Youth is the backbone of the country.
4. Steely zeal to achieve goals.
How to compare inanimate with animate objects. This method is called personification (personification).
example
:
1. Trains night screaming.
2. Rice ducked, saluting farmers.
3. Waves toward the shore.
4. Moon hid behind the clouds.
Allegory ð The language in the form of short stories that contain allusions. The language is often called a figure of speech expanded metaphors
example:
1. Every person in the world to experience typhoons and storms in life.
2. I congratulate rowing boat alive. Hopefully someday reach the island a happy life.
3. Interest is growing village. Many beetles on him. However, the interest is always keeping keasriannya.
4. Human life is always spinning wheel. Sometimes be above sometimes below. Therefore, we as creatures of God must be very clever grateful.
